Psyllium

Well balanced food with a proper fibre amount stimulates indigestible stuff secretion out of a human body. So it is important our digestion could work effectively and the body might absorb all required nutrients. Constipated digestion may inhibit the body from sufficient functioning. Most of people take in 10 – 15 grams a day only, but the daily intake should be 25 g at least.

Psyllium is a good source of soluble fibre. Absorbs water and expands 20 times of its weight. A soft gel is resulting and carry on absorbing in digestion. Through its ability to absorb a large amount of water, it binds with heavy metals and chemical toxins, so acts as a detoxifying agent. Psyllium increases the bulk of the stool and decreases transit time. This dilutes the concentration of the toxic compounds in the stool. Also decreases the exposure of an intestinal wall to them.

Psyllium is safe for people with gluten intolerance. Recommended for a long-term intake, 30 minutes before or after meal. Stir 10 g /two coffee spoons/ in a little amount of water, drink at once, then have a glass of water or a beverage. Also can be added to joghurt.
