Inulin - chicory fiber

Inulin is a natural carbohydrate which is extracted from chicory roofs (Cychorium intibus). Chicory still has been planted with no GMO technologies.

Inulin as a soluble dietary fiber is indigestible by human enzymes, passes through much of the digestive system intact. It is only in the colon that bacteria metabolise inulin by fermentation. This stimulates the growth of bacteria in the gut / the probiotic effect/. Inulin also increases absorption of calcium, magnesium and other minerals, and reduces cholesterol and lipid levels. Proper digestion promotes better imunity.
